Smart City IoT

Monitoring and control of the municipality's smart infrastructure, in the same platform.

Vision Smart City IoT connects the municipality's sensors, gateways, controllers and other smart equipment into a single platform. Telemetry, states, alerts and commands are integrated with the map, the dashboards and the administrative processes, so that a technical event can automatically trigger a concrete action inside the municipality.

What changes in managing infrastructure

The municipality sees the state of its smart infrastructure in one place, together with the history of readings and alerts, and can automatically link a threshold breach to a notification, a ticket or a task with an owner and a deadline. Data coming from different equipment is standardised and can be used together in rules, maps and reports.

Examples of use

The same equipment, thresholds and alerts, applied to two of the most common scenarios in a municipality.

Smart street lighting

The lighting network is managed from the platform: every lamp or group of lamps has a state, a schedule and a consumption figure. Anomalies become alerts, and alerts become tasks with an owner and a deadline.

Central control

Light intensity and operating hours are adjusted from a single point, per lamp or per group of lamps.

Anomaly detection

Faulty lamps or excessive energy use, flagged in real time, with the intervention routed to the right owner.

Adaptive lighting

Motion and ambient light sensors, together with schedules, cut consumption without affecting safety.

Consumption reports

How consumption develops and how the network is performing, for planning maintenance and identifying areas to optimise.

Environmental monitoring

Environmental sensors feed the same maps, dashboards and workflows as the rest of the platform, and the indicators approved by the institution can be published to residents.

Real-time readings

Temperature, humidity, air quality (PM2.5, PM10, CO2, SO2), noise level and water quality, in charts and on the map.

Alerts when thresholds are breached

Automatic notifications by email, SMS and in the platform when critical values are exceeded, with escalation along the workflow.

Publishable indices

Quality indices such as AQI, shown on the public map of the municipality, for approved values only.

Forecasts and analysis

Forecasting of environmental readings and impact simulations, using the models in Vision AI.
